A collection of lively piano works, focused on dance music from the Romantic period to the present. Together with a contemporary work dedicated to Takahashi, the album features graceful works by the Francis Poulenc, the composer with esprit, and by Edvard Grieg, Frédéric Chopin and Zoltán Kodály, who found musical languages in the folk music of their own countries, all performed with delicate and colorful sounds.
